EY Day - Wake Forest School of Business Summer Management Program

EY Day

EY (formerly Ernst & Young) spends a full day with Summer Management Program Students. EY with over 270,000 employees across the globe is one of the largest professional services companies in the world.  EY views Wake Forest University as a key feeder school and leads this one-day seminar during SMP called “EY Day.” Each year, EY hires hundreds of college graduates into the field of consulting, and they are particularly interested in SMP students.  In other words, EY hires more than business students; they hire SMP students.

EY Day gives students a chance to use their newfound business knowledge, allows students to build their social capital by meeting EY consultants, and offers students an opportunity to consider working for EY or a similar firm.

Highlights of EY Day include:

  • Interviewing Tips Presentations
  • Introduction to the World of Consulting
  • Instruction in the Area of Case Interviewing (a very common interviewing technique)
  • Team-based Competitions and Presentations
  • Informal Q&A and Networking Events

SMP students consider EY Day one of the most exciting days of the program.  Career path trajectories change as a result of this impactful experience.
